Flooring installation in Rockford

Rockford is home for us — the shop is on Mill Road and most of our crew live within fifteen minutes of it. Practically, that means a Rockford job usually gets measured within a few days of you calling, and if something needs attention after we have finished, we are not making a special trip to come back.

The housing stock here keeps the work varied. The older places around the historic districts often have original oak under carpet that is well worth reviving, and we do a lot of refinishing within a few miles of the shop. Newer builds out toward the edges are typically slab-on-grade, where we are metering moisture and steering people toward rigid-core LVP for basements and kitchens.

One local quirk worth knowing: the swing between humid summers and dry, heated winters here is wide enough to move a solid hardwood floor visibly. We acclimatise boards in your house before laying them and set expansion gaps for the range, which is why our floors do not gap up in February.
